About the project
The national road 141 in Nouvelle-Aquitaine faced significant traffic congestion, with over 3,000 heavy trucks passing daily. To improve traffic flow and enhance safety, the DREAL (Regional Directorate for the Environment, Development, and Housing) commissioned NGE to construct an 11.3 km bypass between Roumazières and La Péruse, expanding the road to a 2x2 lane configuration.
This large-scale infrastructure project required a modern approach to optimize efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize carbon emissions.

(formerly Holixa) – A first in France, this technology equipped 40 construction machines with connected devices to gather and analyze operational data in real time.

Provided real-time performance tracking, enabling better project oversight and decision-making.
– Hiboo coupled with Site Productivity provided precise tracking of idling rates, anomalies, and overall efficiency, allowing for better resource management.
– Facilitated information distribution and improved coordination between teams. The online platform published all design data (plans, IFC, LandXML) and displayed real-time machine locations on a map.
– Facilitated the storage and sharing of orthophotos via WMS links, improving coordination and decision-making.
